Waste Recovery

Royal Priors has a Zero Landfill Policy in place that has been in force for many years.

• Recycling/recoverable waste is at 100% of all waste produced on site.
• The 2021 total (12 months) is reported at 81.77% recycled vs. 18.23% recovered

Recovered waste i.e. general compacted waste is then taken to a materials recovery plant for further extraction of useable materials, with all remaining waste incinerated – converting waste into energy.

Energy Saving Measures

Sustainability measures instigated to date at the centre include:

• Replacement of the motors at the centre’s main entrances
• Timer adjustments on plant operation to work only during select time periods, thus eliminating wastage.
• LED lighting fitted within the centre’s car park
• Installation of movement sensitive light fittings in service corridors

ISO 14001 Project

Royal Priors achieved 100% pass rate on the latest 14001 audit conducted in October 2020.

Royal Priors is proud to have been awarded with the Bronze Sustainability Standard by the Savills Sustainability Team.
